Photo of the Day -- Land of the Midnight Sun

It's bed time so this is gonna be short. I just wanted to say that I liked the way the shadows laid on the Tazlina bowl this evening. It was sort of weird weather and I was happy to get out of there. I know its all blue sky in the picture, but there was a lot of fog forming out of thin air all around ... and that makes me want to be elsewhere.

I always enjoy your photos and articles.
I was wondering if you may have met or knew my niece's son, Jared Hobaugh. He was in Alaska 2 yrs ago and was a pilot. Here is a video made about him
http://www.ryanaugustine.com/ . He was killed in a plane crash when he was coming back to Kansas for his sister's wedding. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=143857193386&ref=nf
